Taurus Season Tarotscopes 🐌
A tarot card for each sign, plus a Taurus-themed tarot spread for you to do on your own.
Welcome to Taurus season, my indulgent little sleepyheads.
The explosive energy of Aries willed the seeds to burst from the earth, excitedly, all-of-a-suddenly.
But now it’s Taurus season, where we nurture those little sprouts via repetitive and consistent action.
The momentum, the energy, the ambition that snowballed during Aries season can actually find relief. This is the time to take those sparkly ideas and materialize them.
Taurus knows the value of showing up consistently. It knows that going slowly, or at least at its own pace, is the only sustainable way forward.
Moving sustainably gives you time to smell the flowers that blossom around you; to enjoy a really good meal; to find some deep, deep rest when you need it. Taurus knows that these aren’t side quests, but fundamental stops to staying inspired and energized.
For my calendar cuties, here is a non-exhaustive list of transits happening during Taurus season:
April 27: New Moon in Taurus
April 30: Venus enters Aries
May 4: Pluto stations retrograde in Aquarius
May 10: Mercury enters Taurus
May 12: Full Moon in Scorpio
I personally recommend reading for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. However, I also think it’s helpful to read for any part of your chart that feels really activated right now. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. Read your loved ones’ signs, too. And, you know, share it with them if they need it ;)
Aries: Two of Pentacles
Taurus season is your time to balance your finances. Maybe that’s not sexy, but it’s probably necessary (or not, you have free will.) It might be good to notice how your relationship with money changes in the face of anxiety, too. In an increasingly unstable world and unsustainable capitalist economy, how can you be more present with your fluctuating relationship around money? Maybe finding your balance starts with recentering your values.
Taurus: The Hanged Man
Taurus season is your time to slow down. Yes, we’re taking things very literally here. There is something alchemizing inside of you, not yet complete in its transformation. But that doesn’t mean it’s not there. Instead of trying to rush through whatever you’re trying to work out inside of you—whether that’s a business proposal or a heartbreak—take it slow. Even though that may feel frustrating and the opposite of what you want to do, let yourself sit with that discomfort. Future you will be glad you did.
Gemini: Seven of Cups
Taurus season is your time to sift through the illusions that drain you. Maybe you keep repeating the same relationship patterns thinking there will be a different outcome, or maybe you need better boundaries with someone. Whatever it is, there’s something you’re not being honest with yourself about, and the comfort of Taurus season could easily lull you into closing your eyes and forgetting about it. Don’t. (Or do! You know, free will.)
Cancer: Seven of Cups
Taurus season is your time to let your options inspire you rather than overwhelm you. Sometimes we get so locked in to our current life/routines that we forget we can do things differently. Sometimes we think we have no other options. But ease doesn’t just come from living an easy, drama-free life. It’s about actively choosing what feels good and right for you moment to moment, instead of abdicating that agency to an external construct. No need to outsource, k?
Leo: King of Swords
Taurus season is your time to tell the truth. To yourself, quietly as you cry alone. To the person who needs to hear from you, loudly and with conviction. To the world inside of your phone, unapologetic and triumphant. Whatever your story is, your honesty is required in order for you to live in alignment. And if you feel like you’re not where you want to be or you’re waiting for something to happen, maybe speaking your truth is the first step to getting there.
Virgo: The Hierophant
Taurus season is your time to question what you know. This doesn’t mean doubt yourself, but it may be time for a little self-inquiry. When you hold certain opinions, knowledge, and truths as resolute, you leave no room for growth. It’s okay to change your mind, admit you made a mistake, or that you were wrong. (You’re not wrong often Virgo, I know, but it still happens.) And that’s good and normal! Trusting your inner authority means trusting in your humanness, too.
Libra: The Devil
Taurus season is your time to stop distracting yourself from that thing (you know the one.) Maybe you’re pouring yourself into your work and busy-ness because you don’t want to acknowledge what’s haunting you. But it wants (and needs) your attention. It could be the mountain of laundry that needs to be folded or the relationship you need to end. Whatever it is, your avoidance is a map pointing you exactly where you need to be.
Scorpio: The World
Taurus season is your time to break the pattern. Maybe it feels good and familiar to be inside of a cozy chaos; maybe that maladapted coping mechanism is nestled in right inside of your comfort zone. When you find yourself falling into familiar but dysfunctional ways, pause. Think about the kind of stability you want for yourself and whether or not this current loop is taking you there. Forsake temporary comforts; build your sustainable foundations instead.
Sagittarius: Four of Swords
Taurus season is your time to stop. Stop ignoring your body’s cues to rest. Stop ignoring the emotions that demand to be felt. Stop ignoring the red flags. You need a break, from *gestures broadly* all of this, yes, but also from your own whizzing mind. Physical and mental rest should be your priority this Taurus season. Make room for it where you can.
Capricorn: The Empress
Taurus season is your time to let other people take care of you. You’re usually the one taking care of everyone else, right? And maybe asking for help and receiving it feels uncomfy, even a little vulnerable? Unhook yourself from the narrative that you can suffer through it on your own (which you probably can, but you shouldn’t and you don’t have to.) And just in case you need the reminder: It’s not your job to worry about how someone will react to you asking them for help. When you need help, let your loved ones show up for you.
Aquarius: Three of Wands
Taurus season is your time to realign with your joy. Maybe you recently arrived at the end of a cycle. Now you have possibilities before you, and some of the details might be fuzzy, but you have that feeling—and it feels like exhilaration, joy, excitement. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what you’re doing or what’s next. You’ll figure it out. Let your excitement spark into the momentum that brings you into your next adventure.
Pisces: Six of Swords
Taurus season is your time to embrace what’s changing for you. Maybe things outside of your control are disrupting your life, or maybe you’ve chosen to do something very different. Maybe the change feels gigantic, maybe it’s subtle. However it feels, surrender to what needs shifting, and make plenty of space for the grief, sadness, and exhilaration that may come with it.
And last but not least, here is a tarot spread to help you get in touch with the energy of Taurus season:
you never miss!!
