This week’s seed 🌱: Uncertainty is a canvas
The compost 🪱: The Moon
Yesterday morning my sister and I were texting, per usual. She felt guilty about changing her mind on a commitment she’d made: She woke up that morning feeling in every part of her body that she couldn’t follow through. Our text convo was essentially her talking shit to me about herself, so of course I jumped in with a big ole time out.
Most of my responses consisted of: It’s OK to change your mind, doing what you need today is still committing to yourself, honoring your needs is good for you—and also, do you see how you’re talking about yourself?!
We live in a culture composed of binaries as value judgements. We value stability and consistency—but of course this is rooted in sexism: men = stable, predictable and therefore good; women = changeable, unpredictable and therefore manipulative witches bad!
Just like every binary, let’s throw it out the window, take away the value judgements, and see both as different ends of a spectrum, serving different purposes. No good, no bad, just living our human lives—which is what our card this week wants us to do.
The Moon tells us that being changeable is actually in our nature: To be changeable is to be cyclical, to be human, to be alive. The Moon rejects external rigidity and instead invites us to honor our own cycles and rhythms. What would happen if you embraced the parts of you that are inconsistent, dynamic, and contradictory? And instead of seeing them as something you “need to work on” or “fix,” you listened to the wisdom those parts of you have to share?
In astrology, the moon is the fastest moving planet, passing through a new zodiac sign every 2-3 days. Its appearance is in constant flux, and sometimes we can’t even see it at all. And yet the mighty ocean still follows her lead, its tides mirroring her every move. She leads without ever compromising her devotion to her cycle.
This week, I want you to allow yourself to change your mind. Don’t judge yourself when your mood switches. Cancel on something without feeling guilty about it. Let your intuition and body lead you into places you’re not scheduled to be in. And remember that uncertainty is just canvas you get to be creative with. How will you paint it?

I feel like I’m the only one who’s ok with me changing my mind. Also I sometimes don’t even remember my first decision that randomly changed seemingly by herself without a bit of me at all paying attention! Blah!!!!!
