This week’s seed 🌱: Safety as passage
The compost 🪱: The Six of Swords
What an auspicious pull this New Year’s Eve! This week, we have the Six of Swords gently moving us away from that which no longer serves us, and bringing us closer to safety, to sanctuary, to our own expansion.
The Six of Swords asks us to name the things, people, thought patterns, places, and stories we are leaving behind—name them so that we know them; know why we must leave them behind; know that if we encounter them again, we do not let them back into our boats. Now is the time to shed.
Although some might feel fully reset and recharged the first week of the year, I usually do not. I tend to need some time to ease into the newness of January. The Six of Swords’ boat is a lovely place to rest as we traverse the liminal, the cost of passage being that we reflect on what safety and support mean to us.
