🌱Abandon perfectionism
This week, the Eight of Pentacles asks you to be present in the process.
Welcome to the Greenhouse 🌱 where we plant seeds for the week ahead with a tarot reading, a digital altar, and more! Consider this your digital quiet place to exhale, read, and nourish your busy lil brain to ground you for the upcoming week. Maybe we’ll bask in the sun a little, too (wearing SPF, of course!) So if you haven’t already, please consider upgrading your subscription!
This week’s seed 🌱: Everything important is process
The compost 🪱: The Eight of Pentacles
I love the Tarot because each card contains multitudes, and the Eight of Pentacles is a great example of that. This card has been showing up a lot recently—for me and for my clients—so it’s no surprise it wanted to be seen by our Greenhouse community. The Eight of Pentacles offers us two things to ponder this week, each a slightly different perspective on staying present.
First, how are we abandoning process for perfectionism, for an outcome? I recently realized about myself that I often do not have patience for process. I prefer outcomes. I want to blink my eyes and be with a finished product; blink and I’m across the world in another country; blink and I’ve already mastered a new skill. Process requires patience and presence. It requires the ability to sit with unknowns. It asks that we not attach ourselves to an outcome; rather, the process itself is where we find the most nutrients. Life is process, relationships are process, parenting is process, creation is process—essentially everything important is process. How can you slow down and return to process, to presence, this week?
