A Trusty Transit Toolkit for March's Astrology
Because the astrology of March is pretty busy, I thought it might be helpful to lay out some of the ways you can take care of yourself and work with the energies at play.
‘Tis the month that astrologers around the world have been anticipating for years. March 2025 has finally arrived.
I say this not to fear-monger, because there’s truly nothing to fear. There’s a lot happening astrologically because there’s a lot happening in the world, in your world. As above, so below, right?
In order to be brief-ish and considerate of everyone’s astro level, here’s a quickie rundown of March’s astro vibe:
Venus and Mercury both begin their retrogrades this month through the sign of Aries, there’s a Solar Eclipse in Aries, and Neptune will move into Aries after being in Pisces for 14-ish years (this is a big deal!)
As you can see, there is a lot of Aries energy at play this month. So we should prob pay attention to that, eh?
We all have Aries in our charts somewhere, even if we don’t have any planets or angles in the sign. There is a piece of us that is very Aries. The part of you that leaps before thinking, that gets wildly impatient, that feels antsy being in one place for too long.
This sign embodies bold, action-oriented, leadership energy. And, it’s impatient, impulsive, and full of rage. This month is highly likely to poke, prod, and rile up the Aries in you, so pay attention to how that shows up.
Aries is also the beginning of the zodiac wheel, so this month may offer you an initiation into a new cycle of your life—but slowly, tentatively, with baited breath. There are two retrogrades, after all.
In addition to all the Aries vibez, there’s going to be a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo this month. Eclipses in general are intense portals of energy that tend to shake shit up, and maybe it’s subtle, maybe it’s in your face, but either way, you feel it. I generally recommend refraining from doing any lunar rituals on an eclipse, because again, the energy is intense and often unpredictable.
Now that we’ve set the scene, let’s open your Trusty Transit Toolkit. Save, bookmark, print it out—whatever you wanna do to keep it handy as the month unfolds.
Best of luck to you, my cutie cosmic wanderer! See you on the other side!
(JK see you next week when I post my next thing <3)
Major transit dates and themes:
Venus retrograde (March 1–April 12): relationships, finances, values, your material world, agreeability, your relationship with receiving
Lunar Eclipse in Virgo (March 13): health, habits, how you manage anxiety, how you process information, perfectionism, discernment
Mercury retrograde (March 14–April 7): (mis)communication, travel delays, funky tech issues, managing an over-active + overstimulated mind, trickster vibes abound
Solar Eclipse in Aries (March 29): embodied action, anger + frustration, leadership (or lack of it), your impulses, impatience
Neptune enters the sign of Aries (March 30): shattering long held illusions
Some questions to ponder as the month unfolds:
What’s your relationship to impatience? In what contexts does it show up most often for you?
Do you feel like the leader of your life? If yes, how do you lead with accountability? If no, what holds you back from stepping into that authority?
I highly recommend either journaling or simply taking note of what themes pop up for you this month, especially around the eclipses. These are beginnings and endings of major cycles, and I find it personally helpful to track what’s going on so I can make sense of it all at a later date.
To take care of yourSELF:
Do a simple financial audit. Go through your bank statements and cancel or pause the memberships you’ve been paying for that you don’t use. And if you have the bandwidth to get more granular with your finances + budget, have at it.
Cull your social media “following” list! This is super important to do regularly imo. Who we follow on social media and whose content we’re seeing on a regular basis really impacts us. You don’t need to be following anyone who makes you feel like you need to change your body, your lifestyle isn’t enough, you’re not enough—honestly just unfollow anyone who slightly annoys you or messes with your vibe (if they’re someone you know and can’t unfollow, then just mute.)
Do the annoying things being an adult requires. Schedule your doctors/dentist appointments, show up for your scheduled therapy sessions, pick up your medication refills, file your taxes, etc. (I know, I’m also annoyed that I have to do these things! But it’s good for us.)
Turn your daily hygiene/upkeep into rituals. When you shower, imagine the water is washing away any gross or unwanted energy you’ve picked up from the day, and carrying it down the drain. When you brush your teeth, say some affirmations in your head around things you’re working on. When you take your anti-depressants, imagine you’re also swallowing love, patience, or another thing you need more of. Those are just ideas so please get wild with it!
Body movement! This DOES NOT have to look like an aesthetic gym routine. It can literally be you doing some stretches that feel good while you’re still laying in bed. It can look like going for a 15-minute walk. I personally love Laura Girard’s Youtube channel for some quick, accessible movement without the diet or weight loss BS.
Lean on your spiritual practices. That doesn’t have to mean astrology or tarot, it can be spending time in nature, journaling, making art, etc. Anything that makes you feel connected to something bigger than yourself.
Shameless plug: If you find that you’re navigating some relational stuff this month, and you’d like some clarity or just more context to understand your own process, my Lover’s Renaissance reading is on sale the entire month of March for miss Venus’ retrograde. This reading isn’t just about dating or romance. It goes deep into the ways you love, and the patterns you tend to fall into when it comes to relational dynamics. Sometimes it’s helpful to get a third party’s neutral perspective on this stuff, so this is here if you want it!
And because I love you and want you to practice good energetic hygiene, here’s my recipe for a an energy clearing salt scrub!
I’m a firm believer that showering is one of the easiest ways to energy cleanse, and adding this salt scrub into your routine will help you scrape that energetic muck in a more intentional and magical way. I use a little every time I shower—this is a must for my routine.
Tend to your social life (bc that’s essential to your wellbeing, too!):
Plan a low-key dinner exchange with a friend! One night they host, one night you host. No elaborate menu or fancy table setting (unless you have the bandwidth for it)—just makin’ dinner per usual with a little extra for another person. One less dinner for you to cook, and it’s free.
Make a plan to spend time with loved ones who fill your cup. Seriously, limit your time around people who make you feel like you need to wear a mask or you just can’t be yourself around. Prioritize the relationships that feel like home.
Find an accessible way for you to contribute some good in the world. Maybe that’s using 5 Calls to tell your reps to DO SOMETHING about the shitshow that is our government, maybe it’s donating $5 to a GoFundMe of your choice, or maybe it’s helping out your neighbor who’s in serious need of help. It doesn’t have to be grand, but seeing how you fit into the larger picture of the world and its people is good for all of us.
…And some general advice from me, an astrologer, tarot reader, and major crybaby:
Be curious—about your behavior, about everyone else’s behavior. If you can bring curiosity to conflict and even to yourself when things feel chaotic, that is a major win (… and you’re less likely to do or say something you’ll regret later.)
Prioritize taking care of your body! Eat enough, get enough sleep, drink enough water, move your body, take care of your body, and listen to it when it’s telling you something’s off!!!!
